MULTIPOINT 30

Product available from February 2020

Over recent years, the sliding window has undergone a notable evolution in specification and ease of use. This evolution is focused mainly on meeting current demands for thermal and acoustic efficiency, i.e. Profiles with large thermal breaks and glass of considerable thickness. For these reasons, the dimensions of the profiles have increased substantially, meaning that the hardware which brings them windows to life has also had to evolve.

So, we at STAC now present our new multipoint lock with 30 mm backset, designed for the new generation of profiles, providing reliability and robustness, backed up by our vast experience in these types of actionable mechanisms.

The new multipoint lock has a novel internal mechanism which makes the forces of turning and sliding independent, thereby allowing a much smoother operation.

Some of the outstanding features of the multipoint are:

  • The multipoint locks are available with 30 mm backset.
  • 3 multipoint lengths available: 600, 1000 and 1600 mm.
  • Improved security and weathertightness in sliding windows.
  • Compatible with all handles on the market with 7 mm spindle.
  • Anti-lift system which prevents removal of the leaf in the closed position.
  • Buffering stopper which prevents the leaf hitting the metal frame directly, avoiding the awful noise that that makes.

SATISFACTORY TESTING

The multipoint lock has been subject to multiple assays, obtaining results better than to those required in the current legislation. The multipoint has been tested to 25,000 cycles and obtained satisfactory results.

HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE

The zamak pieces have been treated to guarantee corrosion resistance greater than 240 hours in a saline mist chamber in accordance with UNE-EN 1670, achieving a Grade 4 classification which ensures high resistance to corrosion and the possibility of using the handles in regions with severe climatic conditions.
