ALTAIR+ HANDLE

ALTAIR +

In recent year sliding windows have evolved greatly in terms of specification and ease of use. This evolution is focused primarily on meeting the current demands of thermal and acoustic efficiency. This results in profiles with ample thermal breaks and panes of considerable thickness.

For these reasons, the width of the profiles has grown substantially and this has meant an evolution in the hardware that brings them to life.

So, we at STAC present our new strengthened ALTAIR+ handle. It can be fitted on profile of up to 55 mm wide, maximising the opening of the sliding leaves and thus increasing the comfort and ease of use of the sliding window.

Some of the handles outstanding characteristics are:

  • Handle more extended outward to avoid catching on the central profile.
  • Handles are suitable for inward and outward mounting.
  • Double attachment to profile and hardware to avoid deformations, provide greater stability and to strengthen the closing system.
  • Attached to the profile with self-tapping screws, avoiding the need for additional machining.
  • The handles allow the use of threaded rivets which means they can be attached to the profile using metric screws.
  • Security screws available to prevent operation of the handle from the exterior (reference A0507140).

UNE-EN 13126-8 TEST

The new handle has been subjected to multiple tests according to the UNE-EN 13126-8 standard following the usual test procedure included in that standard, obtaining results superior to those established. The offset handle has been tested at 25,000 cycles with a weight of 120 kg with satisfactory results.
