» Technical info: self-mounting fixings

Over recent years, sliding windows have undergone a notable evolution in specification and ease of use. STAC’s R&D department has developed various accessories that satisfy the current levels of requirements in this type of closing system.

Following this line of work, we present a locking plate with a conical guide  that noticeably improves the smoothness of the operation of the hardware during the closing manoeuvre, together with and self-mounting fixing elements that allow the direct installation of multi-point locking plates on the frame profile.

» EVO keeper

The EVO keeper can makes allowance for possible misalignment between the leaf profile, the multi-point latch and the frame profile, such as those caused by, for example, the bimetallic effect..

It stands out for its novel conical geometry that facilitates the guidance of the closing point of the multipoint, ensuring that it is correctly engaged in the locking plate avoiding at all times any type of collision and favouring the smooth operation of the hardware during its operation.

» Self-mounting fixings

The self-mounting fixings allow the installation of multipoint locking plates (EVO or standard) directly into groove or open channel frame profiles.

The fixing element is assembled with the locking plate and installed frontally by clipping onto the frame profile, applying slight pressure. In this way, we avoid the discomfort of having to groove them or the need to make any kind of cut in the groove.

Made of special polymer materials that provide high resistance when fastening, but the sufficient flexibility to allow them to be clipped in place, the self-mounting fixings allow a certain degree of adjustment since the locking plate is not directly screwed to the profile.

* The self-mounting fixings are not universal, they depend on the shape of the groove or channel of the profile, so it is necessary to request a prior study from the technical department.
